Operator - Water Division, Treatment Plant

The WMWA is accepting applications for a 3rd shift operator (Wed - Sun 12:00 AM - 8:00 PM) for our water filtration plant. Successful applicants will be responsible for insuring the continuous operation of the water treatment plant to meet EPA and PaDEP requirements. Monitor treatment processes, make chemical dosage adjustments, perform routine lab analyses, maintain necessary records and perform routine preventative maintenance as necessary to optimize the process operation. Perform general maintenance and cleaning duties. Any other duties that are assigned. Qualifications include ability to operate a modern water treatment plant, observe treatment functions and potential malfunctions and process problems. Basic knowledge of math, chemistry, laboratory procedures and computers is required. Availability to work as needed for call-outs and overtime. Other requirements include valid Pa driver’s license and minimum high school graduate or state recognized equivalency and the ability to obtain PaDEP certification for Class WA1 treatment plant.
 

Assistant Operator, Wastewater Division, Treatment Plant

The WSA is accepting applications for an Assistant Operator, Swing Shift (Wednesday & Thursday 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM, Friday - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturday & Sunday - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) at our Central Plant location. Duties include assisting the shift plant operator in keeping the treatment plant functioning and conduct assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks. This position will work under the direction of the Plant Operator, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.


Laborer II, Wastewater Division, Treatment Plant

The WSA is accepting applications for a Laborer II (Monday through Friday - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with 30 minutes unpaid lunch) at our Central Plant location. The duties include performing manual labor in various cleaning and maintenance duties and be available to assist other plant workers who need help with a particular task. The Laborer II duties involve providing janitorial services and grounds keeping work in addition to learning and carrying out certain tasks which are the basic responsibility of Operators, Assistant Operators, Mechanics or Maintenance Workers. The Laborer II works under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent.
